Psycological help!!!?

hi, a friend of mine has been having quite unusual emotional and psycotic fits quite frequently. She is currently on a high dose of prednisolone but her fits happened prior to the prednisolone. she often states how important she is and also mumbles to herself and animals. She seems to think she may have schizophrenia. If she was to book an appointment with a phsyciatrist at the womens and childrens hospital adelaide, and state that the fits are unbareable and cannot be dealt with at home, would they admit her to the Boylan Ward? Also is it possible for a patient to be admitted to the Adolescent ward through psycology? By the way, my friend is 13 years old. Thanks
