Chimps, Apes, Gorillas and Monkeys...how do they rank on the "Spiritual, Evolutionary ladder?

We have all seen the series of pictures of humans gradually walking upright into a homo sapiens. But nothing on the monkey series which might explain when God put a soul into the creature.
