Allergies question in 3 year old?

my 3.5 year old daughter came home and her allergies are kicking her butt, eyes are really puffy and really whinny.. i gave her 1 tsp of childrens allegra allergy liquid medicaton and its not helping. was wondering if i can give her benadrayl on top of it. i gave her the allegra at 5:30pm mountain time. my neighbor gave me some children benadryl and i compared the active and inactive ingredients and they have nothing that is the same. what do you think? she was in a house that they smoke in and we are a smoke free house, could she be allergic to the smoke? could it be jus thte smoke? any thing helps thanks
