My daughter was misdianosed. Could i have a lawsuit?

I took my 9 month old daughter to an emergency room because she woke up one morning with her upper lip severly swollen. There wasn't any trauma to the site like she hit her mouth. I did not intorduce her to anything new or change anything that I use such as soap or detergent. I brought her to the er the dr looked at her examined her mouth and what not asked if I gave her anything new or changed anything. I told him no. They gave her benedryl and discharged her and her diagnosis was allergic reaction. Next morning its severly worse, spreading, discolored, warm, and painful. Took her to a different er where she was tested and in the end transferred and admitted into the childrens hospital for a severe facial infection. My mom told me that I should look into talking with a lawyer. I think that dr was wrong and should be held accountable. I don't care about money i just think it was wrong and I'm angry. Could I have a law suit though?
