My 1 year old is sick, what can i do?

Unless your pediatrician told you use the cough and cold medicine I wouldn't use it, I'm pretty sure that he is too young for it. It sounds like he might have an ear infection to go with the cold. Typically my kids will get a cold then a few days later they will spike a temp. from an ear infection. Best thing is to take him to the doctor which you already will be doing today. They will have the best advice for you.
